#AISYO Statement:
AISYO Demands Justice for SSC Aspirants: End Exam Mismanagement and Police Repression
--------------------------------
The All India Students and Youth Organisation (AISYO) extends its unwavering solidarity to the thousands of SSC aspirants protesting in Delhi against the gross mismanagement of the Selection Post Phase 13 examination conducted between July 24 and August 1, 2025. The widespread disruptions including server crashes, abrupt cancellations, distant exam centres and the use of incompetent private vendors have deeply affected candidates, particularly those from marginalized and rural backgrounds. Many were forced to travel over 1,000 km only to face chaos, technical failures or outright denial of entry.
We strongly condemn the Delhi Police's brutal crackdown on peaceful demonstrators, including lathi charges and the arbitrary detention of several students and educators. Repressing those who are voicing legitimate grievances is an affront to democratic rights. This agitation, amplified on social media by hashtags like #SSCVendorFailure and #JusticeForAspirants, echoes earlier struggles such as the 2018 SSC paper leak protests. The repeated failures in recruitment processes reflect deep-rooted institutional decay that demands urgent redressal.
AISYO calls on the Government of India to take immediate and concrete steps to ensure transparency, accountability and justice. The future of lakhs of youth cannot be held hostage to profit-driven vendors and administrative apathy. It urges all to stand with the aspirants in their just struggle for a fair and accountable public examination system.
Demands:
- Set up an independent inquiry committee to investigate SSC’s mismanagement and vendor failures.
- Cancel the current vendor’s contract and blacklist firms with poor track records.
- Introduce a centralized exam calendar and strong anti-leak mechanisms.
- Stop police repression and drop all charges against detained students and educators.
